Malak Al-Hadidi

I decided to create the HPSA after observing a rapid expansion in prospects within the field of health policy. Throughout my undergraduate years, I noticed there is not much room for students to discuss crucial and relevant global health topics or network with individuals who can provide guidance and support entering the field. I aim to lead the association to be an informative, open, and inclusive space which fosters effective communication on various global health topics.
Hamza Hadidi

I joined the HPSA to develop and apply my preexisting teamwork skills, and to practice my communication skills as a leader. I’m also very interested in the field of health policy and medicinal politics, with applications of economic trends.

I wanted to join the HPSA to help make positive changes regarding health policies globally. Health policy affects us all. As we are in a position of privilege, it is crucial that we do what we can to raise awareness regarding relevant global health topics and advocate for others. I believe that this club will be beneficial in helping others network, receive guidance regarding their health and futures, and make a difference regarding society’s wellbeing.

I wanted to join the HPSA because health policy affects every individual, as it impacts the way healthcare services are delivered and how much people pay for them. In recent times, the COVID-19 pandemic is an example of a health policy issue which has had a significant impact on societies and economies. Additionally, I believe this club will provide me with valuable networking opportunities and the chance to make a difference in the healthcare industry.

I joined HPSA as healthcare policies are an integral aspect of the healthcare system. As someone who plans to pursue a career in medicine, I believe it's important to be informed on healthcare policies and apply this understanding to optimize existing policies and shape new ones. Working with the HPSA team, I hope to spread awareness on contemporary global health issues as well as promote new policies that can improve the health of the population and tackle health disparities.

I believe I could help promote HPSA, whose aims partially overlap with mine, and essentially specialize in promoting resources in reference to student health and global health policy, knowledge, and awareness. This is especially true as a student who has had health issues.
